Jose Mourinho has been offered the chance to replace Rafael Benitez with immediate effect at
Real Madrid.
This is according to the
Sunday Times, who understand that Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is eager to bring the Portuguese coach back to the Bernabeu as a replacement for Benitez as soon as possible.
However, the report adds that Mourinho would prefer a move to Manchester United, amid speculation the Premier League giants are on the brink of parting company with the beleaguered Louis van Gaal.
